MCM renovated this long-term care facility that required renovations to the main lobby, public space, and giftshop.
The existing main lobby was outdated and visually disorienting. MCM designed the space to create a soothing high-end atmosphere that welcomes residents and guests. In addition to new finishes meant for high-traffic spaces, they provided new furniture with stain & moisture resistant upholstery, and lighting that coordinates with the existing furniture and accessories.
The public space, which is located outside of the dining, giftshop, and activity room, was being used as a lounge where residents would often fall asleep. The facility wanted MCM to transform this into a Café that would be reminiscent of a European street scene. Some of the design features that helped to create this look were a sky-look lighting feature, street lamps, an outdoor Café scene mural, window awnings, and short-term Café seating.
The Giftshop was outdated and cluttered. MCM continued the finishes from the adjacent renovation into the Giftshop. They specified new display furniture that would keep products and gifts organized.
This Senior Living facility is home to active seniors who wish to enjoy an independent lifestyle in a safe, secure setting. Not overwhelmingly large, this is a warm, comfortable retirement residence that feels like home.
Testimonial: “Our experience at Villa St. Martha with MCM Consultants and Mary Claire O’Loughlin has been nothing short of wonderful! Our very first meeting to create a modern, upscale state-of-the-art lobby for our continuing care retirement community left us dazzled by her brilliant design and masterful interpretation of home. Mary Claire captured the essence of our facility and its culture perfectly and was able to create a new and functional environment that integrated seamlessly with the lobby flow. We thank Mary Claire and MCM Consultants for the excellent job done on our new lobby. We look forward to future projects at Villa St. Martha.”
